Mercury

Open-architecture hardware

Mercury controllers, powered by Alocity

Non-proprietary access control. Open-architecture hardware. AI-powered software.

Deploy modern Mercury MP controllers with Alocity, or modernize your existing Mercury environment without ripping everything out. One cloud-managed platform for doors, users, credentials, video, visitors, alerts, reports, workflows, and Aimee.

Talk to an Expert

Modernize My Access Control

Open hardware

No proprietary lock-in

Modern access control

Why non-proprietary matters

Don't get locked into a closed access system

Many access control platforms force customers into proprietary controllers, readers, and software. That can make future upgrades expensive, limit your choices, and create long-term dependency on one closed ecosystem.

Alocity takes a different approach. With Mercury controllers, Alocity gives organizations a non-proprietary, open-architecture foundation — then adds the modern cloud, AI, video, visitor, and automation layer on top.

The result

More flexibility

Better long-term investment protection

Easier upgrades over time

No unnecessary rip-and-replace

A modern experience without proprietary lock-in

Mercury MP intelligent controller board

Mercury MP Intelligent Controllers

Mercury's newest generation. Alocity-ready on day one.

The all-new Mercury MP line — MP1501 PoE+, MP1502, MP2500, and MP4502 — brings a secure-boot CPU, the latest cryptography, and a dual-footprint circuit design for supply-chain resilience. Alocity supports the full range.

Legacy mode keeps MP backward-compatible with existing LP setups and Series 3 / Series 2 I/O modules, so you can replace an LP controller without rewiring the doors behind it.

What MP delivers

Secure-boot CPU and latest cryptography built in

Dual-footprint design for supply-chain continuity

Legacy mode: drop-in replacement for LP controllers

Works with new S4 and existing Series 3 / 2 I/O modules

Embedded app environment for edge and IoT extensions

Ready for Alocity cloud, AI video, Aimee, and automation

What's new from Mercury — 2026

Four upgrades every Mercury owner should know about.

Alocity tracks every Mercury release so your platform is ready the moment the hardware is. All four are supported today.

MP Intelligent Controllers

MP1501 PoE+, MP1502, MP2500, MP4502. Secure boot, modern crypto, supercap-backed clock, flash-stored cardholder database that survives power loss.

MercOS Firmware

One firmware platform across LP and MP with a cyber-governed release cycle. LP controllers get features, fixes, and security updates through 2028.

Embedded App Environment

Build directly on MP controllers: custom apps, IoT integrations, and edge logic that runs at the door even when the network doesn’t.

Already have Mercury?

Keep what works. Upgrade what matters.

Running LP controllers? Mercury's MercOS firmware keeps them fully supported through 2028 — and Alocity runs on LP and MP side by side. Modernize the software today, migrate the boards on your schedule.

1

Keep existing readers, locks, and doors where possible

2

Move LP → MP at your pace (LP supported to 2028)

3

Move to a modern cloud access platform

4

Connect access events to video and AI

5

Expand across more spaces over time

The Mercury experience, rebuilt

Mercury configuration used to take a specialist. Now it takes a click.

The most modern Mercury interface ever built. It sees your bus in real time, finds wiring faults before you do, pairs readers in one tap, and maps elevator floors automatically — every Mercury feature, simplified.

Auto-detects wiring faults

Bus polled at 4 Hz

OSDP Secure by default

Auto-maps elevator floors

Sizing assistant

Live bus health, always on

A real-time RS-485 health graph, baud, frame-error rate, and A–B voltage — polled at 4 Hz. Faults surface before a door ever fails.

One-tap reader pairing

Plug in the reader, click Pair. Address is auto-detected, OSDP Secure Channel is negotiated, and the key is rotated — no laptop at the door.

Wire inputs by preset

Door contact, request-to-exit, tamper, or custom. Each preset pre-fills normal state, supervision, and debounce so installs are right the first time.

Wire relays by preset

Electric strike, maglock, motorized lock, or auxiliary output. Fail-secure vs fail-safe, pulse duration, and door-follow behavior are set for you.

Elevator auto-map

Ten floors, relays, access levels, and who-can-go-where — mapped in one view. Auto-map floors assigns MR16OUT relays for you; click any cell to change a schedule.

Mercury bus topology with live health

One-tap OSDP reader pairing

Input presets

Relay presets

Elevator auto-map

Auto-detected: one end-of-bus board is missing termination. The UI flags it and shows exactly which board needs the resistor.

For integrators

Commission a panel in minutes, not a day.

Discover the bus, pair readers, wire by preset, and test — all from one screen. The UI tells you what’s missing before you leave the site.

For operators

See the whole Mercury chain at a glance.

Panel, boards, ports, doors, and elevators in one topology view with live health. No more guessing which layer failed.

For Mercury veterans

Every feature you know. None of the friction.

Same MP and LP hardware, same S3 and S4 modules, same RS-485 bus — with the configuration depth you expect and none of the utility-software pain.

Aimee speaks Mercury

Every other Mercury platform gives you menus. Alocity gives you an operator.

Aimee doesn't just search Mercury logs. She manages panels, doors, readers, SIO modules, and elevators — through conversation. What used to be a truck roll is now one sentence.

Live troubleshooting

Aimee finds the failing link in the Mercury chain.

Door not unlocking

Before

Truck roll. Tech opens the panel, meters the relay, checks wiring by hand.

With Aimee

“Why won’t the Lobby Door unlock?” → Aimee inspects topology + port IO and names the failing part.

Schedules not applying

Before

Log into the panel utility, compare configs, re-push manually, hope it sticks.

With Aimee

“Resync Panel 7.” → Schedules and holidays pushed, confirmed in seconds.

Reader not responding

Before

Swap the reader to rule it out. Check OSDP addressing with a laptop at the door.

With Aimee

“Identify the reader on port 2.” → LED flashes, pairing state verified, fixed remotely.

New SIO not visible

Before

Manual bus discovery from the panel utility. Readdress by DIP switch.

With Aimee

“Discover and accept new modules.” → Found, accepted, online — no site visit.
